Herefordshire is often seen as a quiet and sleepy county, but behind this 'slower pace of life' hide a myriad of things to see, do to keep people enthralled and entertained.

Outdoors and indoors, whatever the weather or time of year.
From the cerebral and sedentary to high adrenaline physical challenges, Herefordshire offers activities for all.

Within walking distance of the cottage,  Newbridge Farm Park offers a great family day out for all -,  and a couple of miles furhter away, Alexander Park offers Golf, Spa treatments and a fabulous gym.

The area boasts a wealth of historic buildings including three magnificent Cathedrals all within half an hour's drive, imposing castles - old and new and quaint towns and villages to while away a few hours.
For arts lovers, there are theatres, galleries and exhibitions within easy reach.

If you feel you'd like to expend a little more energy, there are walks and great cycle routes straight from the cottage door. If you need something a little more extreme, the Forest of Dean offers some of the best mountain bike trails in the land. With archery, canoeing, climbing, caving, horse riding, shooting and fishing close at hand, you might need to book a longer stay!

There are, of course, more peaceful outdoor activites too, with fishing lakes and golf courses within striking distance.
